WELCOME TO THE
SOUTHWARK ANGLICAN  CURSILLO SITE

This site has been created primarily for information to all, whether or not you have made your Cursillo.  It is also for those who are either about to make their Cursillo, or are being led by the Holy Spirit to consider doing so. We hope that within this site, we might allay some of your worries and concerns.

SOUTHWARK ANGLICAN CURSILLO  is affilliated with the British Anglican Cursillo Council. Their aim is the promotion of "the Cursillo movement of the Church, providing a method by which Christians are empowered to grow through prayer, study and action and enabled to share God's love with everyone."

For most people the first contact with the Cursillo movement will be an invitation by a friend, parish member or a priest to attend a Cursillo Weekend. This is a short course made up of talks, meditations and worship intended to focus the participants on "what is fundamental for being a Christian" with the intention of raising awareness of our ministry of witness, and how that ministry may be carried out wherever we are. It should be stressed that these Cursillo weekends are both serious and fun in equal measure, and most enjoyable and uplifting experiences!
If you have no intention at the moment of attending a Weekend, or have never heard of Cursillo, all we ask is that when you view this site you do so prayerfully, and with an open heart.

For those who have made their Cursillo, this site is a way of keeping in touch with what is happening throughout the year.  You will also, through e-mail, be able to contact the members of Southwark Anglican Cursillo Secretariat, and let us hear your views and ideas.

We pray that this site will be an encouragement to you in your walk with God. Thankyou for your interest in the Cursillo movement.
